STRANGULATION HAZARD: Young children can be seriously injured or strangled by accessible blind cords or chains. Health Canada recommends choosing window coverings without long accessible cords whenever possible.
Install the safety device: Always install the supplied chain tensioner / safety bracket exactly as instructed and secure it firmly to the wall or window frame with screws. Do not leave the chain loose or create a reachable loop.
Keep children away: Keep cribs, beds, playpens, chairs, sofas and climbable furniture away from windows with blind cords or chains. Keep the control chain high and out of reach at all times.
Canadian cord-safety limits: Reachable cords are subject to strict Canadian requirements. A reachable cord must not exceed 22 cm in length or create a loop greater than 44 cm in perimeter under the applicable test conditions.
